MT-C Fuel Conditioner

MT-C range – multi-purpose products for use on thick-walled steel pipes, and large diameter non-ferrous pipes

A PROBLEM often encountered is that the application of magnetic conditioners on thicker-walled steel pipes (over 2mm) and on large diameter, non-ferrous, pipes (over 3”/75mm dia.) does not always produce satisfactory results.

Steel pipes. Existing conditioners do not have sufficient power to penetrate the wall of the steel pipes, and the magnetism appears instead to track along the external surface of the pipe until it encounters the end of a pipe (a joint, fitting or weld) and then tracks back along the internal surface of the section of pipe.
The consequences of this are, firstly, it can take several weeks to generate a magnetic field inside the pipe, secondly, the field eventually generated is often relatively weak, and thirdly, it does not penetrate to the centre of the pipe void.

Non-ferrous pipes (large diameter – over 3”/75mm) A problem on large diameter non-ferrous pipes is that although the magnetic fields can penetrate the pipe wall, the magnets used are often of insufficient strength to create a strong enough magnetic field in the centre of the void of the pipe.

OUR RESPONSE to these reported problems is the MT-C range of products. These have been designed for use on thicker-walled steel pipes, and also on larger-diameter non-ferrous pipes.

The MT-C products are supplied in pairs, one module being south-seeking the other, north-seeking.It is intended that a single twin-module set should be sufficient to treat the fuel. (It may be that two twin-module sets will be necessary where high velocity throughput of fuel occurs.)

The twin magnets used for these products are encased in stainless steel (details and illustrations to follow).
